Sorta
PrototypeSorta is a Mac menu bar app that organizes folders using rules you write in plain language. It watches only the folders you choose, and Apple’s on-device model decides where each file belongs. Nothing needs to leave your Mac.

How it works
- Apple’s Foundation Models framework classifies files on device.
- Sorta monitors only the folders you explicitly give it access to.
- Sandboxed folder access is saved so it keeps working after a restart.
- It works like a Mac utility, not a chatbot.
Coming Next
- Watching more than one folder at a time.
- Dropping in a folder when you only need to sort it once.
